| “ It’s About Time” |
| “ It’s About Time” is the title of my upcoming CD on Big Moose Records I have spent 30 years producing, recording, arranging, and playing on other peoples stuff and all my friends and collegues tell me that it is “about time” I put out a cd of my own material. so here is a rough draft preview of a couple of songs from it. The background music is a bit of a mood music I did called “A Walk In The Woods” it is fairly self explanatory. Click on the first song it's called “Simpatico” © Alan Mayer. I wrote this song with a picture in my mind of a couple having a romantic dinner by candle light with a bottle of really fine red wine on a balcony overlooking a beautiful moonlit bay somewhere like Mazatlan or Puerta Vallarta. The introduction is a daydream sequence introduction for possible soundtrack use. I am still looking for a "latin percussionist(s)" who can replace these synthesized tracks with real drums.  simpatico [mp3 3.7MB]
The next one “Babe (Just a Little While)” © Alan Mayer.Is a song I have been performing live for many years and it's been a favorite of all kinds of audiences . In the late '70's we recorded it as a folk song. In the '80's it was done as a rock and roll ballad. We even did a heavy metal version for a while, and with a band called Structural Damage in a fusion rock style. This is the latest arrangement of my most requested song. It is a bit over produced but that was the point of this particular version especially since this time I played all of the parts.   babe [low resolution 3.2mb]
